If you're looking for an interesting coffee, which challenges the frontiers of what we expect to taste from a particular origin, then meet the Dark honey processed Pacamara from three time COE winner Don Nacho!
Chalatenango, in the North-West of El Salvador was rife with FMLM guerrillas during the civil war in the 1980’s. The disruption to local economy, ensuing poverty and lack of investment unfortunately still effects the region today.
Without access to sufficient capital Don Nacho founded his first farm by collecting seedlings from the river banks downstream from exiting farms. After meticulously cultivating his crop and processing on raised beds next to his own house, Don Nacho was awarded in 2011 with the coveted first place El Salvador Cup of Excellence He has since gone on to win the competition a further two times,
We are once again, incredibly grateful to Rodolfo Ruffatti Batlle for making it possible to share Don Nacho's coffees here in the UK.
